Here's a few pictures I took recently in London in local areas, Bricklane and Southbank. It's like layers of history, new and old buildings enveloped within one another. I like the abandoned columns in the Thames and the bridge garden. Tate modern brutalist building is now surrounded by these new glass buildings and they sit next to each other kind of uncomfortably, as viewers from the Tate can see in through the windows of the buildings opposite. The non-intentional amalgamation of different constructions is what makes this so interesting. Like a painter stumbling on a happy accident.
